34th ANNUAL PROMENADE DAYS - CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS

Enjoy Downtown Barrie's longest standing Canada Day family weekend. This year the event is scheduled for 4 days starting Thursday July 1st 2010 - Sunday July 4th 2010.
CANADA DAY FESTIVITIES
- 6pm - CAKE CUTTING CEREMONY - on July 1st at Memorial Square. Join Patrick Brown MP and other local dignitaries for a grand cake cutting ceremony with the largest Canada Day cake Barrie has seen! Enough for all!
- 10pm - FIREWORKS - Thursday July 1st 2010 - from Kempenfelt Bay; viewing should be good anywhere along the waterfront.
ONGOING FROM JULY 1ST - JULY 4TH
- Dunlop Street is closed to traffic from Mulcaster Street to Mary Street (see the 'Map' webpage and go to Events)
- The Downtown Merchants will showcase all their fantastic products during the Street Market the remaining days from 10am - 7pm.
- Barrie Thunder Classic Car Show - on display the entire event with over 50 cars on Saturday - all on Dunlop Street West.
- Family & Kids Zone with activities for all ages in Memorial Square:
